Booking The Pavilion Lake Cabin
To book the cabin, figure out which dates you would like to go. The calendar link below will show who is already booked for certain times which may affect your date selection. Once you have decided when you would like to go, you can fill in the Request Cabin Time” form below. Your will then need to be verify your request with the owner that is most closely related to you. You should do this by contacting them and letting them know of your plans. Once your request is verified it will be put on the calendar you will receive confirmation by email.
Privacy only requests will be considered, however, they work against the intent of the cabin which is to help nurture and grow the relationships within the family, so they are not encouraged. Expect to have multiple family members at the cabin with you, especially during summer months.
One of the goals that the cabin owners have is to keep the cabin available for all the family to use. The rising costs of maintenance, fuel, electricity, wood, taxes, insurance etc. makes this an increasingly difficult task. To this end, if you enjoy using the cabin, please make a donation to it’s operation.
Basic Cabin Etiquette
- Familiarize yourself with the opening and closing procedures for the cabin. A file can be found in the instructions section of this web site.
- It is not acceptable to show up unannounced to the cabin when someone else is already there. Give the people there the courtesy of a phone call to let them know you are planning on coming up and make sure to register on the web site so that we know who is there.
- When you arrive, the cabin will have been cleaned by the folks that were there before you. It is your responsibility to make sure that the cabin is clean when you leave.
- Remove ALL unused food from the fridge and take it home with you. When you have cleaned out the fridge, give it a wipe down to clean up any spills.
- If you choose to use the bedding that is there instead of bringing your own, make sure it is washed and the beds are remade before you leave.
- If you use cabin towels instead of bringing your own, make sure they are washed and returned to their proper storage space.
- If you use it, replace it. This goes for things like gas, propane for the BBQ, firewood, toilet paper, laundry detergent etc.
- Empty the dishwasher before you leave.
- Follow the proper closing down protocols outlined in the instructions area of this web site.
